چکیده

Soil waterlogging is one of the most serious abiotic stresses on plant growth and crop productivity. In this study, two potassium application levels (0 150 kg K2O hm−2) with three types soil treatments d, 3 d 6 d) were established during cotton flowering boll-forming stages. The results showed that markedly reduced RWC (relative water content), gas exchange parameters biomass. However, considerably improved aforementioned parameters. Specifically, increased Pn (net photosynthetic rate), Gs (stomatal conductance), Ci (intercellular CO2 concentration) Tr (transpiration rate) by 4.55%, 27.27%, 5.74% 3.82%, respectively, compared under no potassium, while abscission rate 2.96%. Additionally, number bolls fruit nodes 16.17% 4.38%, potassium. Therefore, it was concluded regardless or waterlogging, alleviated negative effects regulating status, capacity in cotton. These are expected to provide theoretical references practical applications for production mitigate damage waterlogging.

Interactive effects of elevated CO2 and potassium deficiency on photosynthesis, growth, and biomass partitioning of cotton

In modern cotton production systems, potassium (K) deficiency is one of the major factors limiting lint yield and affecting fiber quality. Although influence of K deficiency on cotton plant physiology and growth and lint yield responses to K fertilizer applications have received intensive studies, it is not clear whether elevated atmospheric CO2 concentration [CO2] affects plant requirements an...

Exogenous Application of Sodium Nitroprusside Alleviated Cadmium Induced Chlorosis, Photosynthesis Inhibition and Oxidative Stress in Cucumber

Cadmium (Cd) is one heavy metal which is toxic and can cause physiological disorder of plants. In the present experiment, effects of Sodium nitroprusside (SNP), a NO donor, on the phenotype, photosynthesis and oxidative stress of cucumber leaves were studied under Cd stress. Application of 100μM CdCl2 induced obvious chlorosis of cucumber leaves with lower pigment content and lower net photosyn...

Effect of cropping system on cotton biomass accumulation and yield formation in double–cropped wheat–cotton

Wheat–cotton double cropping practices on a large scale in cotton belt of the Yellow RiverValley and the Yangtze River Valley in China. Field experiments were conducted to determinethe effects of wheat–cotton double cropping on cotton biomass accumulation and yieldformation during 2011/12 and 2012/13 growing seasons. Two cotton cultivars, Siza 3 (mid–latematurity) and CCRI 50 (early maturity), ...
